Edgar Blanco, Founder and Managing Director
With over 25 years of experience in Anaerobic digestion research, Edgar Blanco founded Hefei Anaero Bio-technology as a way to improve accessibility to advanced anaerobic digestion research, and to bring his expertise to China. He designed the equipment used in our lab and has personally trained all the staff in the operation of the equipment.
Pat Hughes, Senior Software and Electronic Engineer
Pat has an extensive background in electrical engineering, being a retired engineer for BT. He created lots of the Arduino software, and electronics that are used in our equipment.
Rashmi Patil, Senior Research Scientist
Rashmi has worked with Edgar and the Anaero Technology from its founding in 2013. She has been involved in many research projects, starting in Cranfield University where she completed her masters degree. Currently she is completing her PhD in York University and supports the technical research with her expertise.
Mingjie Yi, Research Scientist
Mingjie is currently completing his PhD in the continuous anaerobic digestion process at UCL, and he executes research projects using our innovative automatically-fed equipment. Having worked with various types of waste including food waste, livestock waste and crop waste, Mingjie is an experienced scientist.
Mauricio Blanco, Business Development Manager
Having completed his Bachelor‘s degree in maths and economics at Newcastle University, Mauricio has joined Hefei Anaero Bio-technology to create the promotional material and help manage the commercial and logistical operation of the company.
Manqing Yang, Lab Scientist
Manqing is based in Hefei and runs the day-day operation of the lab. With a masters in environmental science from Lough borough University, Manqing understands the anaerobic digestion process and carries out the tests in our Hefei lab, also offering scientific support to clients.
Fabio Blanco, Software Developer and AI Implementer
Fabio studied Economics at Durham University and has joined Anaero to develop the software used in the logistics of the company as well as to advance future projects involving AI data interpretation.
